Facebook Video of Michigan Boy Filling Potholes Goes Viral

We all know Michigan roads are horrible! So while the politicians try and figure out how to get them fixed a young boy from Muskegon has decided to take matters into his own hands.

Monte Scott a 12 year old from Muskegon Heights decided enough was enough and used a shovel and dirt from his backyard to start filling in potholes on Maffett Street near his home last week.

“I didn’t want people messing up their cars like my mom did,” Monte Scott said. “If somebody were to drive down the street and hit a pothole, and then would have to pay like $600-700 to get their car fixed, they would be mad.”

The video was posted to Facebook by his mom has been viewed more than 52,000 times on Facebook.

Monte has filled around 15 potholes near his families home, and his mom says that is just the kind of kid that he is. When he see’s a problem he tries to fix it.
