Thunder 1073 and SpartanNash are always ready to help our communities throughout the year, and with the damage caused by Hurricane Helene, we knew we needed to move quickly to help support those in need. Many people are seeing the destruction and devastation on the news and looking for a way to help – so we’re glad to be able to offer people in West Michigan a way that they can pitch in. Working together with great partners like WLAV and the American Red Cross – and with our store guests in the community – we know we can help provide disaster relief at a time when it is so desperately needed.
The American Red Cross is asking for donations of individually wrapped snacks – things they can hand out easily to people such as: Granola bars, fruit cups, apple sauce pouches, chips, pretzels, popcorn, crackers, juice boxes, beef jerky and Slim Jims.
We are accepting donations Tuesday through Saturday at three of our stores:
Family Fare | 6370 Lake MI Dr. | Allendale | MI | 49401
D & W | 1116 Robbins Rd. | Grand Haven | MI | 49417
Forest Hills Foods | 4668 Cascade Rd. SE | Grand Rapids (Forest Hills) | MI | 49546 |
Stop by any of these collection sites to donate some individually wrapped items to help those affected by Hurricane Helene. Join SpartanNash in donating and help us hit our goal of contributing 150,000 individually wrapped snacks. A little something to eat can make a big difference for someone who is dealing with the aftermath of a disaster.
We know how generous West Michigan is, and we’re honored to do our part to help.
