The Turnpike Troubadours put on a humdinger of a show on July 15 at Nashville’s Cannery Ballroom. The packed house of approximately 1,000 folks was treated to a bevy of Turnpike tunes from their four studio albums, including “Down Here” and “The Bird Hunters” from their self-titled 2015 album. But the Oklahoma troupe also debuted—from what we could tell—a brand-new tune, “Come as You Are,” which was written by Turnpike frontman Evan Felker and the Old 97’s Rhett Miller.

“Come as You Are,” which was recorded at Bruce Robison’s Lockhart studio, is highlighted in Segment 3 of Bruce’s multi-platform music series The Next Waltz. It also will be available for purchase on iTunes on July 29.
Check out the two videos below: the music video for “Come as You Are” and a six-minute video biopic, which captures them recording the track and discussing their career and musical philosophies with Bruce for The Next Waltz.
